I’ve posted snippets from Katie Couric’s interview of Sarah Palin before, but these appear to be fairly complete versions of this newsworthy two-part interview series. (Updated below with the latest released video).
Day 1
Day 2
UPDATE: Here’s more!
UPDATE II: Here’s Couric’s interview with Palin and Biden about the Supreme Court, abortion and privacy.

She articulate very be. America needs maverick and tax cuts as part of bailout. Putin is part of Alaska, rearing his ugly head like wolfs that Governor Palin shoots from airplane.

At 5:02 in the video:
Couric: What lessons have you learned from Iraq, and how, specifically, will you try to spread democracy throughout the world?
Palin: Specifically, we will make every effort possible to help spread democracy for those who desire freedom, independence, tolerance, respect for equality. That is the whole goal, here, in fighting terrorism.
I don’t want someone with this level of understanding of — of anything to be “one heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States.”

Couric was playing “gotcha” asking questions no one but McCain would know. No Katie, Sarah doesn’t have a complete knowledge on her voting record or his accomplishments in office. Ask Obama or Biden those questions, you will get equally ignorant and gaffe filled answers (“I am not talking about invading Pakistan… but if they get in our sights, we take them out”). There is a reason Palin has kept her distance from the MSM.

Right. You stick with that excuse and see how far it gets you.

I can’t believe that someone who could be number 2 in command would not be held accountable to at least 1) have some understanding of the policies of the person she is running with and 2) not have any understanding of the issues that are affecting our world.
While I feel sorry for her, I have to say that she made a choice to put herself in this situation. I can’t believe that she did not prepare herself more for the situation she now finds herself. This is truly frightening that she could be 1/2 a heartbeat away from becoming our next president.
I am not in support of either camp. Do we really want someone who cannot hold her own in an interview potentionally in the #2 slot? How does this affect the way that other countries view us? Does her presence and the way that she carries herself give you a sense of power? Is this the voice and posture of a leader?
There are coaches available all over the place. Shame on Palin and McCain for not insisting that she make every effort to utilize them.

I actually thought the Palin/Couric interview was funnier than the SNL skits…as they were TRUE. Later though, I felt a bit sorry for Palin, she looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

If she is truly responsible, she will acknowledge her shortcomings and resign as the VP candidate. She has no honest claim to either the VP office or the White House based on knowledge or experience. McCain and Palin deserve to lose miserably. I’m betting on a surprise mini-landslide in favor of Obama.

Sarah Palin is making the women of america look like fools. She calls herself a Feminist in the same sentence as being against Pro Abortion. She is not for womens rights, she is not for the rights of the american people, she is for religious rights. They are all crooks! Atleast Mcain and Obama are good at it. She needs to go back to being a housewife/Gov.!

what does “awaiting mideration mean?
———–
I believe it’s a reference to people in their late 30s who are awaiting their inevitably expanding waistline, or midriff, that comes with middle age. But I could be wrong.
