Chris Matthews’s Destruction of GOP Talk Radio Host Kevin James

May 16, 2008 · 3 Comments

This is almost painful to watch, but devilishly entertaining. I guess if you knock a partisan Republican off his talking points, he drowns.

By the way, Kevin James also screams about Robert Malley.  Contrary to James’ rant, Malley is employed by the International Crisis Group, an organization that meets with all sorts of governments, friendly and unfriendly, and reports on his findings in advance and afterwards with the State Dept — they are not “secret meetings” and they are not on behalf of the Obama campaign (he was not a paid staffer of the Obama campaign in any event). It’s the equivalent of the Red Cross for crisis management. I guess the facts are too boring for Kevin James, and his fiction is much more interesting for his radio listeners. Trouble is, MSNBC shouldn’t allow him, Pat Buchanan and other blowhards to repeat this political slander on the air (at least not without pointing out the falsity).

What is it about these GOP rabble rousers and their inability to speak coherently? Can all they do is shout? And how about learning a little history before you try to bullshit on national TV.

I watched this yesterday and it was amusing and sad at the same time. Kevin clearly did not know what he was talking about but rarely does anybody truly challenge these loud mouths. Chris did it with the precision of a surgeon and it was delightful.
