- Obama still within 4% with 84% of the vote in. Lake County is still uncounted and won’t be until Midnight (EST). Lake County is expected to go big for Obama. The question is whether it will be big enough.
- Obama picks up super delegate in North Carolina.
- Obama wins North Carolina; Indiana too close to call. With 2/3’s of the vote in as of 9 EST, HRC is up by 6-points. However, the votes from Hillary’s strongholds are already counted and the ones outstanding are in Obama’s strongholds.
- National Review’s Campaign Spot says look for an MSM drumbeat to hasten HRC’s exit to kick-off in earnest starting tomorrow. How sad that would make the cable nets. What would they do without Hillary?
- With a MASSIVE grain of salt, latest exits have Obama leading in both states:
Indiana
-
Obama: 50.5%
Clinton: 49.5%
North Carolina
-
Obama: 60%
Clinton: 38%
- Exits: Slim majority said Rev. Wright NOT important to them. Was more important among regular church goers.
- AP exit poll demographic analysis of IN & NC: fewer voters over 65 than expected, average number of women voters, a solid third of NC voters African American.
- NYT reports quantifiable evidence: Wright dominated MSM coverage, even more so than Hillary (let alone McCain).
- A report from the ground in Indy.
- Gore Speaks! Reassures that there will be a nominee before the convention (i.e., without his intervention).
- Gingrich Speaks! Says that recent GOP losses in Illinois and Louisiana are wake up calls of looming disaster. If GOP merely runs against Obama and Rev. Wright, then they will fail. Instead, they should follow his laundry list of policy initiatives. (Yours for a special price of $49.99 if you act now!)
- Keith Olbermann on Hillary’s constantly shifting goal posts.
- Turnout very high in North Carolina.
- FBI raids office and home of head of Office of Special Counsel, Bloch.
- Down to the Wire. After Obama’s large rally (21K) in Indianapolis last night, he visited a factory as a late night shift change took place. He visited IN polling stations early this morning and interviewed with local media.
- Daily Tracking Polls. Rasmussen shows biggest lead for Obama since April, 47-43%. Gallup has Obama leading 48-46%.
- Drudge posts alleged Hillary internals reflecting a 15-point Obama victory in NC and a Hillary victory in Indiana. It initially said Hillary would have a 10-point victory in Indiana, but that was later edited. In the Pennsylvania primary, Drudge posted Hillary internals that proved fairly accurate — Drudge said she’d have a 11-point win and she won by slightly more than 9 points. The question is, can you trust these allegedly leaked Hillary internals this time? If Hillary’s margin of victory in Indiana is true, deleting the reference to the 10-point margin would help Hillary by downplaying expectations. If Drudge edited the post to make it more favorable to Hillary, it suggests we are being spun here…
- James Carville says Hillary is a hermaphrodite, and that’s why he admires her so much.
- Number of Obama donors reaches 1.5M.
- Hillary relied on a Senate ethics loophole to hide $24M of Bill’s income for years. Much of his income came from investments in China, which is the beneficiary of outsourcing and US businesses relocating for cheaper labor.

- The Field offers an excellent forecast, analysis to support it, and a guide on how to gauge the NC & IN primary returns Tuesday night and the MSM coverage.
- Looks like Obama will watch returns from North Carolina, while Hillary will be in Indiana. Safe places for each candidate to invest in confetti.
- McCain and Arianna Huffington argue over whether he told her at an LA dinner party that he did not vote for Bush in 2000.
- Obama holds huge rally in downtown Indianapolis on eve of primary. Crowd standing in the rain was estimated at 21,000.
